Artist's Comments

My intention was to visualize a great library on the highest peak of mountain above the cloud level. Try working around with lighting to make it appealling. And what can I say I just love vibrant colors with white and blue colors as the domain.

Wow, congratulations, I love the brightness and the details. very pretty - you did a good job on the shadows. :)

kind of reminds me of the famous anime show, Laputa: Castle in the Sky.

Beautiful! I love the clear blue sky with the white fluffy clouds!! Also the orange roofs with the blue are quite complimentary so wonderful choice of colors =D! I wouldn't mind visiting that library =D!!

I really like your environmental drawings. you have some really clear shapes, which I like, everything looks clean and well placed.
this painting here is almost a bit monochromatic, but it works. I really like it with those strong cyans :nod: makes the red appear even stronger =)

good work!

Oooowaoow, that's a lovely rendering. This screams Daily Deviation (too bad there's politics involved when it comes to who gets picked). ^_^;

I love the vibrancy- how the waterfall makes its way through the canvas in a natural but meaningful way- and especially how the cast shadows complement the vertical walls and pillars.

As some others pointed out though, yeah it's a bit white. The areas facing away from the sun along the bottom and lower left could stand to drop to a darker value to really show contrast. Also, judging by the cast shadow of the statue, your sun would almost be facing the library head-on. So your brightest surfaces would not be the floors but the walls and cliffside (personally, I like the bright sunny look, so it's really the length of the shadow that could be shortened). ^^

Seriously, awesome stuff. So much design and attention to detail went into every inche of this, I can't sing its praises enough. ♥ :D

If it's not here, then it's over there!
But if it's not over there, then where is it?
