I guess I have to make the necessary changes as per Hideyoshi suggested, it also bothering me somehow too. Troublesome.. I guess right now it looks pretty ok where I can emphasize on the scale and the vastness of teh environment.

It looks so lonely, even glum... but strangely soothing at the same time. Your colors are vibrant and lovely even when toned down to a more grey palette.

hope you don't mind, I did this quick overpaint combining your idea to add characters (because they really did add to the storytelling aspect of your image) and scale correction.
not perfect, but maybe you get something out of it.
