Gorgeous piece of animation, i love the painterly style to the set. I agree about the speed of the rain though, it would definitely help if the rain was moving down faster with more blur. You could also add a couple more layers of rain behind at different speeds to give a bit more depth. But great job! That's one brave cat too, mine would have been out of there long before that thunder started lol.
